Holden

I was looking for something special to put up for my 100th post, but I'm struggling for inspiration at the moment. This is an old FE Holden, the model that followed the famous FJ in 1956. I don't know what most of this means, but here are some details on the FE:

• Engine: 2.15 litre 6 cylinder
• Power: 53kW
• Transmission: 3 speed manual
• Performance: 0 - 100 km/h 20.4 seconds; Standing 400 metres 21.4 seconds
• Production: 155,161
• Price: $2,284

  If A Kiwi was asked to name an icon associated with Australia the "Holden" would be one of the top 5. I first learnt to drive in a FC with 3 on the tree! The inline six was one of the best motors ever created in my opinion. Holden perfeted the six cylinder engine when they got the the HQ model. All this from a "FORD" man!
