Cool vantage point! I probably would not have known the building unless I really thought about it! Ron: Threeflavours.ca @ 2006-07-24 10:56:32
There is a million angle of the sails. Each time I am there I think I can see some other angle, and this is a building that I used to catch the ferry past every day. ROB @ 2006-07-24 15:39:21
The inventive style of this building renders it difficult to photograph without getting abstract, I guess. The dearth of straight lines denies us the usual baselines from which to take an angle or slant. I like the LH shot which conveys the play of light on those fascinating shapes, surfaces and textures very well. AG @ 2006-07-24 17:25:16
I love the artistic approach to this, I agree that it is much better than the tourist photos (that I have in an album somewhere lol) wonderful shots. faustina @ 2006-07-24 20:01:12
I've only ever seen the classic tourist shots of the OH so both of these are an unexpected pleasure. The LH image reminds me a bit of a giant Armadillo! garyx @ 2006-07-24 21:05:28
i was going to comment how it's great to see a non-standard shot of this structure, you beat me there. so, great diptych!! david @ 2006-07-24 21:27:10
wow.. the tones here are excellent, I love the way you used the sun light. Craig Wilson @ 2006-07-24 23:25:09
Two nice compositions, Heath. A great building invites us to see it from a myriad of vantage points, to continually rediscover its wonders. Dave @ 2006-07-25 01:23:03
I like it alot, certainly different from what i have seen. Great framing! Ashish Sidapara @ 2006-07-25 02:31:17
Great angles in these shots. The left one is best because of the light and details. Erik - HedinMedia @ 2006-07-25 05:40:42
This is a wonderful study of a well photographed icon. Unusual and creative approach, congratulations! fotojo @ 2006-07-25 08:25:03
