As much as I like taking portraits, I generally suffer from a chronic lack of willing subjects. My nephew Will visited for a few days recently, so I jumped on the chance to take some shots. I won’t go so far as to say he was a willing subject – after the window reflection shot below, he turned to me and said ‘can you please stop taking photos of me?‘ – but he was a little more willing than most. Below are a couple of Christmas shots, followed by some portraits taken out and about in Brisbane – at the State Library, Gallery of Modern Art and Queensland Museum.
