Tonight I shot the preview performance of John Birmingham’s classic 1994 debut novel He Died With A Felafel In His Hand at the Brisbane Powerhouse.
Adapted for the stage by Simon Bedak, Steve LeMarquand and Michael Neaylon, it’s the story of JB’s life of sharehousing, as he shifts his milk crates from one dysfunctional sharehouse to the next, encountering freaks, geeks, gamers, players, stoners, junkies, flunkies, losers, bruisers, strippers, whippers and moontanners.
